| What does my assessment provide? Body Mass Index (BMI) A number calculated from a person's weight and height. BMI is used to screen for weight categories that may lead to future health problems. Waist-to-Hip Ratio (WHR) An important tool that helps you determine your overall health risk. People with more weight around their waist are at greater risk of lifestyle related diseases such as heart disease and diabetes than those with weight around their hips. Body Composition Measures the body’s relative amount of fat to fat-free mass A note about the scale: Your body weight does not determine your “size”. This is yet another number that we can gauge your progress by, but it is just that, a number. Please do not get hung up on what the scale says. This is one of the reasons we look at your body composition and take measurements. The scale may not be moving, but successive assessments will show that you are getting leaner, stronger, and healthier! |

This is your way to hold yourself accountable to your goals of living a healthier life! |
